Tom Brady talks about his first season with FOX Sports
“It’s been really fun to sit and watch these games from the 50-yard line,” Brady said during an appearance on the Let’s Go! podcast in September 2024, per PEOPLE. “Although I’d much prefer to be on the field playing, because it’s a lot more fun down there. But I’m not doing that anymore. But just watching from above and seeing how these guys are performing is pretty cool.”
FOX Sports signed Brady to a 10-year, $375 million contract in May 2022 while he was still playing fr the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired in February 2023 and took a year off to prepare for his new role. Brady partnered with Kevin Burkhardt last season, and they were the No. 1 broadcast team for FOX Sports.
“There’s no scoreboard for us. Did we feel we approached the game the right way, and were we prepared? Ultimately, it comes down to two things: Was I confident in what I said, and did I enjoy myself? I think if those are yes, then we did a good job,” Brady said in February, per the Associated Press. “I’m very excited for what’s ahead.”
