Is the Peyton ManningTom Brady rivalry back on? The two legendary NFL quarterbacks traded some playful jabs recently, reminding us all of some of the epic battles the two once had on the field.

Manning joined the Pat McAfee Show and talked about some recent travel plans that went awry. After a flight was canceled, he had to travel in business class on a Delta flight (woe is me, right?), which apparently got quite drafty.

While talking about the inconvenient travel, Manning took a shot at Brady.

“I don’t know how Tom — does he fly Delta to get to the yacht? Is there a direct Delta flight to the Bahamas so he can get on the yacht?” Manning said. “I was on a Delta flight the other night, I flew back from Hawai’i. My flight got canceled, I was in 36F. Has Tom sat in 36F on a Delta flight?

“Put me in an exit row, which was great for the leg room. But, I swear, the door was open. It was as cold as I’ve ever been. I’ve played in cold-weather games. I’ve been in Green Bay, played in New England.”

After stumbling across Manning’s comment, Brady fired back with a post on X.

“I’m sure the temperature was perfect,” Brady wrote. “Peyton could never handle life outside the dome.”

Manning, of course, spent a majority of his career playing for the Indianapolis Colts (1998-2011). The team previously played home games at the RCA Dome before the construction of Lucas Oil Stadium. Both are domed stadiums.

To his credit, Manning did spent the final four years of his career suiting up for the Denver Broncos (2012-15). Colorado isn’t exactly the warmest state in those fall and winter months.

But, to Brady’s point, Manning (only) led his squads to four Super Bowl appearances — two in Indianapolis and two in Denver. He won two rings, one with each franchise.

Meanwhile, Brady, who was a cold-weather quarterback for most of his career, won seven Super Bowl rings while making 10 appearances. Brady also played for two teams while in the NFL, suiting up for the New England Patriots (2000-19) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2020-22).

With New England, Brady won six Super Bowl rings and one with the Bucs.

Brady and Manning had some epic battles during their playing days. And while the two seem pretty friendly towards each other, they still get an occasional jab in whenever they can.
