Travis Kelce reacts to Taylor Swift's surprise performance at Tight End University

Travis Kelce loved that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, did a surprise performance at a Tight End University event in Nashville this week. On the New Heights podcast, Kelce revealed that Swift pitched the idea of joining Kane Brown and his band at the Tight Ends and Friends party. At the event, the 14-time Grammy Award winner was signing her hit song “Shake It Off.”
“We’re in Nashville, she grew up in Nashville, she moved there when she was younger, and yeah, we had this planned for a while that we were going to have some fun with the tight ends, especially tight ends and friends, all the evening events,” Travis Kelce told his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, per the New York Post.
“I’ll say this, I won’t say when the idea came up, but when we were there at tight end and friends, and we knew there was a professional like Kane Brown, who can figure it out, he’s a pro, he’s been on stage a million times he’s not shy at all by any means, he’s a true professional.

“Tay just kind of went up to him and the band and was just like, ‘Hey, if you guys are down, I’ll go up there and play a song and see if we can pop the roof of this place.’ She’s so good with everybody, just people and making people feel comfortable in it and rocked the stage yet again. It was awesome.”

Travis Kelce went on to say that Taylor Swift wrote sheet music for the band backstage, adding that “she killed it,” despite not practicing before performing at the Brooklyn Bowl stage. Kelce and Swift have been seen together at multiple places this summer. At Tight End University, Swift spent time with the other wives and girlfriends.
Kelce founded Tight End University with George Kittle and Greg Olsen. It was created “to bring the Tight End community together for an immersive three-day program,” according to the official website. Some activities included at Tight End University are on-field drills, film study, recovery and rehabilitation.
Kelce and Swift have been dating since 2023. Over the last two NFL seasons, Swift has attended multiple Kansas City Chiefs games to support Kelce. In turn, Kelce has supported Swift by attending multiple shows from her Eras Tour.
