Trevon Diggs, Tyler Guyton injury updates: Dallas Cowboys Wednesday practice report revealed for two starters
The Dallas Cowboys released their final practice report for Week One and shared good news on cornerback Trevon Diggs and offensive lineman Tyler Guyton. Both players were full participants in practice on Wednesday and were taken off the report ahead of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Trevon Diggs and Tyler Guyton had knee injuries, but fully participated in practice all week. The only injury on the Cowboys’ practice report is defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey, who is dealing with a back issue. He has been ruled out for Thursday’s game.
Diggs was taken off the PUP list on Aug. 24 after undergoing knee surgery in December. He’s coming off a 2024 season where he recorded 52 tackles, 11 passes defended and two interceptions in 11 games. Diggs had his first on-field practice of the year on Aug. 25.
“Physically, I don’t have any limitations,” Diggs said at the time, per DallasCowboys.com. “It’s really just ramping up the conditioning part, getting back to football speed, getting back to in-game speed. That’s pretty much it.”

Diggs also talked about the biggest challenge he had to get used to before returning. “It’s different just working out with yourself and then having to cover someone, chase someone, run after the ball,” he said. “I feel like that’s the main thing, so in practice, I got to make sure that I’m always running to the ball, always running, doing extra gassers, doing everything I can just to be physically conditioned for the game itself.”
Guyton suffered a bone fracture in his knee during training camp on July 28. He is entering his second NFL season after starting 11 games for the Cowboys last year.
Having Guyton back is important for the Cowboys as they look to get a big win against the Eagles on Thursday and have a strong start to the year. “There’s a choice, bro,” Guyton said last month. “I mean, there’s a choice that, when you get injured, especially for an extended period of time, you can either have one foot in or one foot out; and I chose to be all the way in with my team and go through everything like I was playing.”
