Treylon Burks was injured again in training camp this weekend as he fractured his collarbone. That has now led to the end of his time with the Tennessee Titans.

Per Jim Wyatt, Tennessee has waived Burks after three seasons with the franchise. That’s also now led to the signing of WR Ramel Keyton by the Titans.

“The Titans have signed former University of Tennessee receiver Ramel Keyton,” Wyatt wrote on Monday afternoon. “The Titans have waived/injured Treylon Burks. The move comes after Burks suffered a shoulder injury in Saturday’s practice.”

Burks, due to both his play and injuries, has disappointed through three seasons in the NFL. In the 27 games he did play with Tennessee, Burks finishes with 53 receptions for 699 yards, averaging 13.2 per catch and 25.9 per game, and a single touchdown. Those numbers have gone down in every campaign, playing in just five games last season, as he has appeared on the injured reserve a few times in his career too with turf toe as well as a concussion during his rookie year and then knee injuries at points throughout his next two seasons. This broken collarbone was his latest health issue with it likely to have affected his availability over the start of this season in Nashville.

Again, Burks wasn’t able to live up to being the No. 18 pick as a first-rounder in the 2022 NFL Draft coming out of Arkansas. That looks even worse for the team as they made a deal up to get him in that draft by trading away WR AJ Brown, a Pro Bowl-level receiver for them in his three seasons there, to the Philadelphia Eagles.

With that roster move, Tennessee has signed Keyton, who went undrafted last year after a collegiate career with the Tennessee Volunteers. He would spend last season with the Las Vegas Raiders, appearing in eight games where he caught one seven-yard pass from his three targets. He’ll now join what’s a re-worked receiving corps for the team around QB Cam Ward, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Titans.

This was a sudden, unfortunate end to Burks’ time playing in Music City as he now turns to another rehab and maybe another chance elsewhere in the NFL. The Titans will then continue on in their training camp this week ahead of a preseason opener at Tampa Bay in less than two weeks on August 9th
