Tricon Garage adds veteran crew chief to competition staff effective immediately

Tricon Garage is making a big move and hiring Jeff Stankiewicz to a role on their competition staff, effective immediately. Stankiewicz is a veteran crew chief who helped guide Grant Enfinger to a Championship 4 in 2024 and through most of the 2025 season.
Back in September, CR7 Motorsports made the move to replace Stankiewicz, and it felt a little strange. Now, we at least know where the crew chief is headed to next. He wasn’t going to be out for very long.
This season is obviously going well with Corey Heim rewriting the record books. But Tricon Garage has to think about the future. Adding Stankiewicz is a solid move and should result in good finishes on the track.
Tricon Garage is the flagship team for Toyota in the Truck Series. They are supposed to be the best of the best. This is a move that ensures they can keep themselves ahead of the curve. Again, Heim isn’t going to be there forever. Finding consistent success with multiple drivers is what this organization is supposed to do.
Currently, all eyes are on Phoenix as far as Tricon is concerned. This is the year that Heim wins the championship. Because if not now, it’s never happening.

Corey Heim giving Tricon Garage historic performances
So many wins, so many great moments. Corey Heim and Tricon Garage have spent the last three seasons together and have been championship contenders every season. There was the Carson Hocevar issue in 2023. Last year, Ty Majeski was just on another level at Phoenix.
This year, Heim has to get the job done. And it appears that, barring a mechanical issue, he is likely going to dominate. There isn’t a track that he hasn’t been a contender at this season. His work behind the scenes and his talent in the truck separate him from the competition.
Right now, with Layne Riggs in a tough position going to Martinsville, Heim looks like he’s in a great position to win the championship. Riggs is the top contender, no doubt. But in the NASCAR Playoffs, anything can happen in the championship race.
Tricon Garage is starting to think about life after Corey Heim. Hiring Jeff Stankiewicz is a big step in the right direction. Besides, Brent Crews is likely on the way, if he doesn’ skip ahead to the Xfinity Series. The talent that teenage driver has is elite.
