ESPN’s Troy Aikman left an open invite for Taylor Swift to join him and Joe Buck in the Monday Night Football booth.

It wouldn’t be the first time MNF brought up a guest during the game for a mid-game interview during the action. But Swift would be a new level.

Aikman is all for the opportunity and getting Swift’s take on football these days would likely be appointment television.

“Are you kidding me? We’ll escort her up,” Aikman said, via Sports Media with Richard Deitsch.  “There’s no doubt that if we could get her on Monday Night Football in the booth, we would interview her, and we’d have a place for her to sit, and she could take as long as she wanted. I say that now my producer may feel otherwise.”

Of course Swift, one of the biggest global superstars alive, arrived into the NFL world by dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The crossover of fanbases was a sight to behold last season as the Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl.

But if Swift shows up to a game, Swifties and football fans alike will know she’s there.

“I loved it, quite honestly,” Aikman said of the NFL’s Taylor Swift buzz. “I loved it. I think that the fact that a generation of people got exposed to the NFL that, in all likelihood, wouldn’t have otherwise, I think is really positive. I think it’s fair to say the NFL liked it. I just wish we had more Chiefs games.”

As far as getting Swift in the booth, it might be a pipe dream. But it could very well be the most watched Monday Night Football telecast with one of the most iconic broadcast pairings. And well, the biggest star on the planet.

Yes, it would be awesome for Swift fans and an interesting look for pure football fans, but Aikman and Buck will surely just go about their jobs.

“I think at the end of the day, regardless of whatever else is going on, Joe and I, we do try to have some fun with whatever it might be,” Aikman says. “Not just with Taylor Swift, but whatever’s happening there. At the end of the day, people are tuned in because they want to watch football.”
