The SAFER barrier at Rockingham has been damaged after Ty Majeski took a hard hit into the wall out of Turn 1 and into 2. Today was likely not going to be a winning day for Majeski, but the NASCAR driver didn’t expect to be wrecked like this.

When you start to slide up that Rockingham track, it’s hard to get back down. ThorSport has had a difficult day. Ty Majeski wrecked. Ben Rhodes had power steering issues, Matt Crafton and electrical fire. Jake Garcia winning the pole and running in the top-five is the bright spot today.

Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith look like they are going to fight it out to the end. Front Row has two hot rods out there on the track. Daniel Hemric and Rajah Caruth have started to make moves to the front as well.

Huge hit for Ty Majeski. Safety crews are repairing the SAFER barrier as we speak. Red flag at The Rock.

This season has not been great for the defending Truck Series champion. Ty Majeski has definitely had better days in his career. Right now, he has to refocus his efforts and just get back to it.

For the fourth race in a row, Majeski will fail to finish in the top-10. This is his second straight DNF. He has a fast truck on a weekly basis, but execution and things like this wreck keep getting in the way.

While he is having a tough time, there is a lot of racing left this season. This is the beauty of the win-and-advance style playoffs. Even though Majeski is struggling now, he has a chance to turn it around and make a run for another Truck Series championship.

Mult-truck wreck breaks out after Ty Majeski red flag

Cautions appear to be breeding cautions. Stewart Friesen and Tanner Gray got into each other on the frontstretch. A few trucks were involved in this one. All of the NASCAR trucks ended up wadded up right in front of the fans.

A few top-10 drivers were taken out in this wreck. Stewart Friesen had to make a choice when Rajah Caruth got loose. Well, he didn’t have much of a choice. Once Caruth got loose, the 52 truck made a move, and it was too late.

Friesen went up the track and got into Matt Mills. From there, Friesen’s truck came back down the track and collided with Tanner Gray. Both the 52 and 15 trucks went sliding in the grass, kicking up dirt and dust in front of the fans.

So, right after the red flag, caution. When this race is said and done, Stewart Friesen will be happy to leave Rockingham.
