Tyler Guyton hilariously flops to sell Raiders penalty after taking hit to the face

Tyler Guyton is a left tackle for the Dallas Cowboys. We learned Monday night that he might have a career in acting once his football career is over.
Sometimes, you go to work hard to draw a flag. Guyton understands this, and he did just that in the second quarter of the Week 11 Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Guyton and Raiders defensive end Malcolm Koonce were holding on to each other before Guyton pushed Koonce off of him. Koonce responded by taking a swipe at Guyton, who fell to the ground. Let’s just say Guyton didn’t exactly fall to the ground naturally.
Here’s the thing: it worked. Guyton committed the sell of the year and Koonce got penalized for it, an unnecessary roughness penalty which Dallas declined. Three plays later, the Cowboys stretched their lead to 24-6 courtesy of a 37-yard receiving touchdown by George Pickens. Dallas took a 24-9 lead into the locker room after Las Vegas ended the second quarter with a field goal.
Tyler Guyton working through growing pains
Guyton, the Cowboys’ 2024 first-round selection out of Oklahoma, has started nine games for the Cowboys this season. The 24-year-old has struggled, grading out 64th out of 76 offensive tackles, per Pro Football Focus. Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones recently expressed optimism about Guyton moving forward.

“I am confident he has the skills and the length to overcome, what, to overcome the pre-snap penalties,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “I have seen that done. I have seen that his first [two] years, including this year, he is out there in a pretty open space, to look at how he’s playing. He can get better. Players do get better with pre-snap, concentration, focus. They can. It usually comes at the worst times, and when it does, it can mess up a big play.
“He is unique in his talent, unique in his feet, to have the length that he’s got. I think he is gonna be a top player for us.”
