All good things must end. That includes Tyler Reddick’s flowing mane of hair. The mullet and his beard have been removed. With Reddick’s playoff journey coming to an end, so too has the hair we have all come to love this season.

Tyler Reddick has made a few special hair choices in the past. From wigs to mustaches to beards and of course, his mullet. Those who have seen pictures of Reddick as a kid know he used to have a whole helmet of hair on his head.

For those sensitive to the destruction of gorgeous hair, look away. The entire Reddick family got involved with this one it appears.

With no mullet and no beard going into the race weekend at Martinsville, how will this affect his racing? Of course, his hair is kept nice and neat under his helmet during races. But with a winless season so far this year, it can’t hurt, right?

You know that his wife, Alexa, loved shaving off the back of the mullet. Just making sure that there was no chance of salvaging the party in the back.

Martinsville hasn’t always been the best track for Tyler Reddick. He has had good runs there, but his search for a grandfather clock is currently ongoing. There’s really nothing to lose at this point, not even his hair. So, why not go out there and try to steal this race from the remaining drivers in the NASCAR Playoffs?

Tyler Reddick looking to play spoiler

Just like every other driver in the race today that isn’t in the Round of 8, Tyler Reddick wants nothing more than to steal this race and be the spoiler. Drivers like Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney have to win on Sunday if they want to advance. Reddick can stop that from happening.

Unfortunately, the Fall Martinsville race has been trickier for Reddick than in the Spring. His best finish in the Fall race is P18. He has two DNFs, including one from a year ago. So, the history and results are not on his side going into the race.

However, Tyler Reddick has improved at these tracks. Final results don’t always show it. Still, there is a lot that Reddick has learned on short tracks and that is largely thanks to Bubba Wallace, his 23XI Racing teammate. For as much as Reddick has shown Wallace tips and tricks on road courses, the short track game from Wallace has improved Reddick’s skills as well.

Could this be the breakout race at Martinsville for Reddick? Is this weekend going to be the demarcation line in his career when he becomes a winner at a Cup Series short track? It might be, but we will have to wait and see how the weekend plays out.
