Tyreek Hill is tired of the Jaylen Waddle slander from Miami Dolphins fans on social media and is no longer willing to let it slide.

Hill, currently vacationing in Greece, sent out a series of tweets Wednesday after logging onto X and seeing “people talking crazy about Dolphin football.” Evidently, Hill saw some fans advocating for the team to trade Waddle this offseason.

“My boy Waddle is the future, he is better than I was at this point in his career and for people in this fan base to want to trade him is ludicrous,” Hill wrote.

Hill added in a separate tweet: “Him and Tua [Tagovailoa] was special before me and will be special after I leave.”

Hill and Waddle are arguably the NFL’s best receiving duo. The former led the league with 1,799 yards and 13 scores this past season, while the latter recorded his third consecutive 1,000-yard season since entering the league, doing it in just 14 games. Waddle, the 25-year-old, 2021 first-round pick out of Alabama, has one more year left on his rookie contract plus the fifth-year option.

Would Dolphins make Jaylen Waddle available for trade?

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said this past August that Waddle “would not be available to anybody.” Grier made the comments after a report came out that Miami had inquired about the availability of then disgruntled Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, and the Colts asked for Waddle in return.

Grier’s public comments didn’t stop ESPN‘s Mike Tannenbaum from drawing up a hypothetical trade involving Waddle during Tuesday’s “Get Up.” Tannenbaum, the former New York Jets general manager, proposed Miami trade Waddle to the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback Trent McDuffie.

“I love this one,” Tannenbaum said. “Two great young players. Trent McDuffie straight up for Jaylen Waddle and here’s why: If you’re Miami, you’re probably going to cut Xavien Howard as a cap casualty. So, you get Trent McDuffie, who is a great young player. So that’s for Miami. Obviously, you still have a great receiver in Tyreek Hill. For Kansas City, you need a No. 1 receiver. Jaylen Waddle really has a chance to be a No. 1.”

Clearly, Hill would be strongly opposed to Tannenbaum’s suggestion.
