As a Recruit
At Bellflower (Calif.) St. John’s Bosco, Trent McDuffie made up one of the best cornerback pairings in the country with fellow four-star prospect Chris Steele. While Steele stayed nearby at USC, McDuffie went north to Washington. He started the last 11 games of his freshman season and was named honorable mention Pac-12 freshman player of the year. He was named All-Pac-12 second team during the COVID-shortened 2020 season. McDuffie has said that his dream job outside of playing football is to work for ESPN and cover basketball. He is also a gifted musician and knows how to play the ukulele, bass, piano and guitar. He is the son of Michelle and James McDuffie.
