Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had successful surgery on his injured knee on Tuesday. According to his agent Drew Rosenhaus (per Adam Schefter of ESPN), Hill’s surgery “went very well according to his doctors.”

Hill is expected to miss the remainder of the season as he reportedly dislocated his left knee and suffered damage to multiple ligaments, including his ACL. Does this mean he’ll be ready for the start of next year?

“It’s about rehab and he will play next season,” Roseanhaus said. “The realistic goal is the start of the season.” Tyreek Hill suffered the injury during the game against the New York Jets on Monday night. He was carted off the field and was hospitalized overnight.

While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Hill will not currently need multiple surgeries. “It hasn’t been deemed to be anything beyond this surgery, and we’re very hopeful for it to turn out well,” McDaniel said, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk . “It’s just executing this procedure and seeing what happens from there.”

Tyreek Hill sends message before knee surgery

Before the surgery, Hill sent a message to his fans. “Keep your boy in your prayers,” Tyreek Hill said from his hospital room. “You guys have been awesome. Fins Nation, just the whole entire NFL have been amazing, sending me lots of love, lots of prayers. I’m absolutely honored, granted the situation. I love you guys so much, and hope to see you soon.”

Hill caught six passes for 67 yards in the win against the Jets on Monday night. The 31-year-old finished the 2025 season with 21 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown in four games. Hill is in his fourth season with the Dolphins after spending six years with the Kansas City Chiefs.

After the game, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa revealed that he spoke to Hill when he suffered the injury. “He was joking when I came up and talked to him and when a lot of the guys came up and talked to him,” Tagovailoa said, per the Dolphins’ official website. “That’s just his personality. That’s just who he is. But our thoughts and our prayers are with him.”
