Miami Dolphins (0-3) wide receiver Tyreek Hill was carted off in the third quarter of Monday’s Week 4 home contest against the New York Jets (0-3). Hill suffered a serious left leg injury after catching a pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins immediately ruled Hill out for the remainder of the game. He is being taken to a local hospital for imaging, evaluation and observation. Hill, 31, led the Dolphins with six receptions for 67 yards before the injury.

“Both staffs got to Tyreek Hill immediately. They both tried to stabilize his knee,” ESPN sideline reporter Katie George said. “They cut off his cleats and the tapes surrounding his ankles to get it in a stabilizer. His mom was able to come down to the field, she bent down and gave him a kiss on his forehead. And now we see his teammates are coming to console him as they are about to cart him off.”

The five-time All-Pro clapped and waved to fans at Hard Rock Stadium as he was transported off the field. He received a loud ovation from the crowd in response.

Tyreek Hill looks set to miss remainder of the 2025 season

It certainly looks like a season-ending injury for Hill, a devastating outcome for both he and the Dolphins. Hill, the NFL‘s leading receiver in 2023, was looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2024 campaign. He entered the game with 15 catches for 198 yards and a score through Miami’s first three games of the season.

With Hill out, Miami is down its biggest weapon on offense. They will look for Jaylen Waddle, Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to step up in his absence.

Miami’s offense got a jolt Monday night with veteran tight end Darren Waller making his season debut. Waller, who came out of retirement to play for the Dolphins, has two touchdowns in Monday’s game against the Jets.
