Coming out of Week 1, Tyreek Hill already finds himself apparently on the trade block. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter says there are no calls being made from either end right now for a deal to be made for the Dolphins’ receiver.

Schefter shared the latest on a potential trade for Hill while on ‘Get Up’ on Thursday. He reported that, for as much as it may have been discussed over this week, the Dolphins are not trying to trade away Hill and no other team in the NFL is checking in to trade for Hill.

“There’s been a lot of Tyreek Hill chatter and a lot of Tyreek Hill speculation, and I know it will keep going on and on,” Schefter said. “But, the fact of the matter? Let’s not let facts interfere with a good story. The facts are the Dolphins haven’t gotten any calls about Tyreek Hill. Zero. The facts are that the Dolphins are not looking to deal Tyreek Hill.”

Schefter went on to say that this didn’t mean Hill wouldn’t be traded, with a lot of time between now and the deadline on November 4th. There just hasn’t been any intrigue expressed in making a deal for him to this point, which would refute some reporting done coming out of the offseason or shared about him the past few days. Miami also isn’t there yet with Hill, either, as it tries to come out of its start at 0-1.

“Now, look, we’re not idiots. We understand the Dolphins lost last week in embarrassing fashion. They think they’re going to turn it around. But, if they don’t, obviously, there may be calls for Tyreek Hill as the trade deadline approaches in late October, early November,” Schefter said. “But, as of today? Zero discussion about Tyreek Hill – today. Could that change? Sure. Absolutely. When teams lose, that changes the conversation and things are always fluid.”

The Dolphins had as disappointing a performance in Week 1 as any team in the NFL, losing 33-8 in Indianapolis after starting down 30-0 to the Colts. Hill, who was seen visibly frustrated on the sidelines during the defeat, was the leading pass-catcher with four catches on six targets on the day for 40 yards. Still, Miami’s offense struggled overall as it posted just 211 yards in total with three turnovers against Indy.

As for trade interest, other teams may also be wary, considering the recent allegations of multiple instances of domestic assault against Hill. Those were made by his estranged wife, following their divorce case from earlier this year.

The National Football League has since released a statement on those accusations, as it noted that the league was going to review the matter. That’s at least of note as far as what another franchise that could look to add him would be considering between now and the deadline in eight weeks.

Still, for now, Hill will remain a Dolphin. That’ll be the case as Miami plays at home this weekend in trying to get its first win of the early season in a divisional game against the New England Patriots.
