The Tigers fell 31-24 against UAB over the weekend, suffering their first loss of the season. It was a shocking loss as the Blazers entered with a 2-4 record and as heavy underdogs, but gutted it out as Memphis (6-1, 2-1 AAC) committed a costly turnover in the fourth quarter.

This game could still potentially be huge in the race for the AAC Championship, but the loss from Memphis puts USF in the driver’s seat. The Bulls (6-1, 3-0) are still unbeaten in conference play after rolling to a 48-13 victory against FAU on Saturday.
The Bulls got a couple of big wins already this season against Boise State and Florida, with their lone loss coming against Miami. They are led by dual-threat quarterback Byrum Brown, who leads the team in rushing, and a win here would only increase their chances of making the CFP.
USF and Memphis have met 13 times previously with the Tigers holding the 9-4 all-time advantage in the series. They have also won four straight games against the Bulls, who have a ton of motivation to change that heading into Saturday.
