Victor Robles launches bat at Joey Estes after hit-by-pitch, goes an all-time tirade

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles went on an all-time tirade after he was hit by a pitch during a Minor League Baseball game. While playing for Triple-A Tacoma, Robles threw a bat at the direction of Las Vegas pitcher Joey Estes after he was hit by the pitch. He then attempted to charge the mound by was held back by the umpire and some of his teammates.

After leaving the field, Victor Robles continued his tirade in the dugout, as he threw snacks onto the field. He was playing for the Mariners’ minor league team because he was rehabbing from a shoulder injury.

Robles suffered the injury on April 6 after making a diving catch. He dislocated his left shoulder and was ruled out for at least 12 weeks. This is his second season with the Mariners, as he signed with the team in June of last year.

Before signing with Seattle, Robles was a member of the Washington Nationals, where he began his MLB career. Robles was with the team for nearly eight seasons and helped the team win the World Series in 2019.

“I think the way they’ve been playing, the vibes that they have,” Robles said after signing with the Mariners last year, per MLB.com. “I think I’m an aggressive player. And I think that’s just the way they’ve been playing. … They’re a tough team that’s battling for first place here. And I think they’re a team that’s really on their way to making the playoffs.”

Robles also talked about leaving the Nationals. “Leaving them was a little tough for me,” Robles said. “I mean, it’s the organization that opened their doors for me, gave me that opportunity to realize that dream of making it here to the Major Leagues. But being here with the Mariners, I’m very excited and I’m very thankful for them for giving me the opportunity.”
