Video reveals rough Soldier Field conditions ahead of Bears vs. Vikings, sparks concern
The playing surface at Soldier Field could be an issue for the Week 1 “Monday Night Football” contest between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. Hours before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, Chris Hawkey of KFAN Minneapolis/St. Paul posted video on social media showing the grounds crew attempting to smooth out the seams on the field.
The grounds crew at Soldier Field has had plenty of time to prepare for Week 1. However, Soldier Field has been a popular venue this offseason for other events.
