WATCH: MNF crew inverts 'E' on mics into a '3' for Damar Hamlin on Jaguars-Titans broadcast

The ESPN broadcasting crew of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters — normally on Monday Night Football — offered a small but touching tribute to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin as they started their call of the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans on Saturday night. But you had to look close to see it.
Doing a hit to camera ahead of kickoff, Buck and Aikman each had a traditional hand-held microphone — they throw on the headsets to actually call the action — with the ESPN box displaying the “E” logo. Except they had turned the box upside down so the E looked like a 3, the number Hamlin wears.
Buck, Aikman and Salters were on the call of the Monday Night Football game earlier in the week when Hamlin collapsed.
It wasn’t openly acknowledged on the broadcast, just a small gesture from the ESPN personalities.
Salters had the inverted box on display while giving an update on Hamlin from the sideline, namely that he is conscious and has posted on social media.

The Jaguars and Titans held a pregame prayer for Hamlin
Ahead of one of the first NFL games played since Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during the Monday Night Football game, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans gathered at midfield for a pregame prayers. It’s something Jags head coach Doug Pederson had mentioned he wanted to do earlier in the week.
And with the season finale on deck in Jacksonville, both teams met at the midfield logo and took a knee. A short prayer for Hamlin and the teams followed while fans — and the audience at home — watched on.
“Both teams coming together in prayer before this game starts,” ESPN host Suzy Kolber said.
“It’s just an unbelievable deal for both teams to get together, pray, and thank god for what’s happened this week,” analyst Booger McFarland said.
