Wood Brothers Racing addresses Facebook Marketplace listing, rumor of 'shutting down'

Have you been on Facebook Marketplace lately? You can get anything on there! Including a Wood Brothers Racing hauler. After a Marketplace listing from the NASCAR Cup Series’ oldest operating organization made the rounds online, fans thought the worst news was soon coming. Calm down, folks.
If you have heard about Wood Brothers Racing selling off a race hauler, that is correct. They are selling off a 2003 Featherlite 53′ hauler. It can belong to you and your race team for a cool $350,000.
Truthfully, I’m shocked that the trailer is 22 years old. Wood Brothers Racing has been around for 75 years. So, this hauler has been around for almost a third of that time.
A NASCAR fan saw the post on Marketplace and then shared it on Reddit on Wednesday evening. In response, this morning, Wood Brothers Racing addressed the post and any rumors that it may have caused in the last 12 hours or so.
“Somebody tell Reddit we bought another trailer,” WBR shared on social media. “If we were shutting down, a trailer on marketplace would not be clue number 1.”
The Wood Brothers are doing just fine, folks. They won a race again this season, have wins in each of the last two seasons, and the value of a NASCAR charter just keeps going up and up and up. So, right now, they are doing fine. The alliance with Team Penske is still there and helping them be the best they can be.

So, don’t freak out. NASCAR’s oldest organization is still around, and it will be next season, too.
Wood Brothers Racing, Josh Berry together again in 2026
I think that the pairing of Josh Berry and Wood Brothers Racing is the perfect match. He could have landed at some other organizations where he would have done fine. But the chemistry and attitude and culture of WBR match Berry so well.
While WBR has the Penske alliance, the organization is relatively small. The Wood family still owns and operates the team. Berry had to fight and claw his way to get to NASCAR and then had to do it some more just to make it to the Cup Series.
Earlier this season at Las Vegas-1, Berry and the Wood Brothers showed everyone what they could be. They won that race, relatively easily in the end, too. While the team went on to have struggles as the season continued, it showed what they could be. Berry wasn’t a slouch in the points standings this season, either.
Wood Brothers Racing is here to stay. They have a new trailer and are selling an older one. This happens often in the sport. So, remain calm and keep cheering for the 21 team out there on Sundays.
