2027 Four-star WR Ja'Hyde Brown includes Oregon State in top-10
On Friday, 2027, wide receiver Ja’Hyde Brown, a four-star prospect out of Christian Academy of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, released his top-10.
Making the cut for the nation’s No. 36 wide receiver, according to Rivals, and the No. 7 player in Kentucky, included the hometown Louisville Cardinals, followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Wildcats, Indiana Hoosiers, Kentucky Wildcats, Maryland Terrapins, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Wisconsin Badgers.
But also making the cut for Brown was Oregon State.
The Beavers offered Hyde just one day earlier on Thursday night after a phone conversation with head coach JaMarcus Shephard and general manager Eron Hodges. By being one of the program’s first offers in the 2027 recruiting cycle, the Beavers are set to make Hyde a priority in the 2027 recruiting class.
Hyde was previously a priority target for Shephard when he was still with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
While it remains to be seen if Brown’s relationship with Shephard will be enough for the Beavers to eventually earn a commitment, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it be enough to at least allow the Beavers to have a chance to get the four-star prospect on campus eventually.
This fall in nine games, Brown recorded 70 receptions for 1,50 yards and 16 touchdowns for Christian Academy of Louisville, helping lead his team a 15-0 record in the process and a Kentucky state championship.
