Allah 2024 Recap
After impressing the coaching staff in fall camp, Allah earned a place in the running back rotation as a true freshman in 2024. With the Beavers having experienced options in Anthony Hankerson, Jam Griffin, and a veteran in Jake Reichle, Allah finding a place amongst that mix in his first year was impressive. While he only saw action on 26 snaps (20 carries for 91 yards) through the Colorado State game, the season-ending injury to Griffin thrust Allah into a more featured backup role to close out the year.
He played 81 snaps over the final seven games of the season, taking 29 carries for 197 yards and one touchdown. He finished with 288 yards and a score, while also adding two catches for six yards. Considering how tough it can be to crack the rotation as a true freshman, Allah’s first year looks to be a strong building block for a solid Oregon State career.
Allah 2025 Outlook
Entering the 2025 campaign, Allah will be looking to build upon his strong true-freshman campaign. He’ll have competition for the backup snaps behind Anthony Hankerson with Jake Reichle, Cornell Hatcher, and true-freshmen Kourdey Glass and Skyler Jackson, but he has the inside track to see the most with his experience from last season.
While the Beavers will be deeper at the position than they were last year, Allah looks to be a strong bet to lock down the No. 2 RB spot. His shiftier run style complements Hankerson’s more in-between-the-tackles style, kind of like Jam Griffin last year, and I expect him to have a strong sophomore campaign. He’s got more to offer as a receiver as well, and I’d expect the Beavers to find more ways to put the ball in his hands this season. Look for Allah to play a sizable role in the Beavers’ backfield efforts, topping his numbers from last season and growing more as a versatile threat.
