Patterson 2024 Recap

Coming out of Kilgore College (TX), Patterson was expected to play a key role in the Beavers’ secondary in his first year with the program. After largely working with the special teams for the first half of the season, Patterson broke into the safety rotation in week nine against Cal. He wound up playing 147 snaps the rest of the season, after seeing just 11 in the first five weeks of the season. Head coach Trent Bray was largely responsible for Patterson playing more in the second half, as he liked his size, potential, and physicality he played with. He finished with 18 tackles and one tackle for loss, but the potential Patterson showed is intriguing entering next season.

Patterson 2025 Outlook

Entering the 2025 campaign, expect a big-time year from Patterson. He was really strong in spring practices and looks to have built upon the key experience he got last season. Along with Tyrice Ivy and Skyler Thomas, Patterson is expected to be one-third of what will be a strong safety rotation. Considering he’s only entering his junior campaign, Patterson’s potential this season and next has to have the coaches excited. Look for Patterson to play a lot of snaps and be firmly in the safety rotation from start to finish this season. He’s an intimidating presence at 6-foot-4, 208 pounds, and the Beavers are going to want him to be roaming all over the field, looking to make a big-time, physical play on the ball.
