Oregon State commits shine in California state playoffs
Last Friday, in the CIF NorCal Regional Championship, the Folsom Bulldogs put together a thrilling comeback to defeat the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders to earn a spot in the California state championship to take on Cathedral Catholic. The game between Folsom and Archbishop Riordan featured multiple 2026 Oregon State signees in wide receiver Cynai Thomas, wide receiver Jameson Powell, and wide receiver Jayden Padgett.
The top performance of the night was from Jameson Powell, the former Ole Miss commit who signed with the Beavers on signing day. Powell had a monster night against Archbishop Riordan with 14 receptions for 171 yards and three touchdowns.

Tehe 5-foot-11, 175-pound Powell has been fantastic all season for Folsom with 86 receptions for 1,374 yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s eclipsed the 100-yard mark in eight games; his 171 yards were his second-highest output of the season, only behind a 219-yard performance from August.
Padgett did not record any stats in the game per MaxPreps.
Cynai Thomas had himself a quality game as well, with four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown, his score opening up the scoring on Friday night for Archbishop Riordan. The future Beaver finished his senior season with 49 receptions for 902 yards and 18 touchdowns, while averaging 18.4 yards per reception.
For his career, he totaled 137 receptions for 2,308 yards and 37 touchdowns.
