With the start of the 2025 season just around the corner, BeaversEdge kicks off the first in an opponent preview series, diving into all 12 of Oregon State's opponents in 2025... We start with the Cal Bears... In their first season in the ACC conference after being a part of the group that split off from the Pac-12 conference, Cal had the same type of season we've come to expect from them in the Justin Wilcox era. The Bears began the season 3-0, with wins over UC Davis, at Auburn, and San Diego State, before dropping arguably their worst loss of the season in a 14-9 loss to Florida State, as the Seminoles went on to go 2-10 last season. The loss to FSU started a frustrating slide for Cal, as they went on to lose three more games to Miami, Pittsburgh, and NC State by a combined four points.
