On offense, Oregon State returns three starters from last year’s squad, including center Van Wells, wide receiver Trent Walker, and running back Anthony Hankerson.

The biggest surprises on offense are Ryan Berger winning the left guard job and David Wells holding off Eddie Freauff for the third receiver spot. Otherwise, the offense was pretty close to our most recent depth chart prediction.

On defense, the Beavers return seven starters, including defensive linemen Tevita Pome’e and Thomas Collins, EDGE Nikko Taylor, nickelback Sai Vadrawale III, cornerback Exodus Ayers, and safeties Skyler Thomas and Tyrice Ivy.

Defensively, there also weren’t a ton of surprises from our last depth chart prediction. Kobe Singleton settling in as backup nickelback is a bit of a surprise, but with how much the Beavers rotate their guys around, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at corner. Also, slightly surprised that Jalil Tucker was able to hold off the rising Trey Glasper for the other cornerback spot, but it could be a nod to experience there.
