Oregon State women's basketball picks up commitment from PG Ashley Uusitalo
The Oregon State Women’s Basketball program picked up a key commitment on Sunday from point guard Ashley Uusitalo.
The 5-foot-9 guard from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington joins the Beavers’ 2026 recruiting class joining Chenango Forks (NY) forward Maggie Warpus and Crater (OR) standout guard Taylor Young.
According to MaxPreps, as a junior in the 2024-25 season, Uusitalo averaged 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, shooting 45% from the field and 33% from three-point range. She also earned King County 4A MVP Honors for his performance last season.
The Oregon State women’s basketball is coming off a 19-16 season including 12-8 in West Coast Conference play. After winning the WCC Conference Tournament, the Beavers were outed in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as the No. 14 seed, losing to No. 3 North Carolina 70-49.
