Oregon State Athletic Director Scott Barnes and former Executive Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer Brent Blaylock released statements on Tuesday afternoon, following the news on Monday that we reported, indicating changes would be afoot.
We reported on the Beavers moving on from Blueprint HERE and that the Beavers and Blaylock were heading for a departure HERE
Barnes and Blaylock released the following statement:
Oregon State Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Barnes announced that Brent Blaylock, Executive Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer, has chosen to depart the university to pursue new professional endeavors.
“I am proud of all that we accomplished during my time at Oregon State, including supporting coaches and student-athletes as they achieved great success,” said Blaylock. “I value the relationships that I built with the incredible coaches, staff, and student-athletes, as well as the many donors that make OSU a special place. I’ve decided now is the right time to step away from my current role and transition to the next opportunity. I look forward to what’s to come.”
“We thank Brent for his work and dedication to Oregon State Athletics,” said Barnes. “We wish him well as he moves on to new opportunities.”
