About Buff Stampede
Led by publisher Adam Munsterteiger, BuffStampede.com has been the leading source in Colorado football and men’s basketball coverage for more than two decades.
On March 1, after long prior stints on Rivals and 247Sports, BuffStampede.com proudly made the move to On3.
“I couldn’t possibly be more excited about this new venture with On3,” Munsterteiger said. “Shannon Terry has been a trailblazer and innovator in this space since I got into covering college football and recruiting. The amount of talent on the On3 network right now is simply unmatched in the college football media space. And, frankly, it’s not even close.”
Munsterteiger aspired to go to college in Boulder, but having to pay for his own tuition, he opted to stay in-state and attend Arizona State. His eyes were always on the Front Range, however. Shortly after graduation in May of 2003, Munsterteiger turned down a beat writer role at Virginia Tech to start covering the Buffs.
“I already had an apartment picked out in Blacksburg but when the Colorado opportunity came up, it was the easiest and quickest decision of my life,” Munsterteiger said. “I’ve seen some bad football in my last 23 years covering CU, but Buff Nation has truly endeared itself to me.
“While I have to put on the journalist hat and be unbiased with my coverage, I can only begin to tell you how much this community and all the people I’ve met around CU over the years have impacted me in a positive way. And I can only begin to tell you, because if I started to go into all the stories, it would turn into a novel. It is a true community.”
A beginning of a new era on On3 begins for BuffStampede.com. Not just for Munsterteiger, but also his group of outstanding contributors, including Sean Niehoff, Oliver Hayes, William Gardner, Dane Baron and Leo Rivera IV. And the lifeblood of BuffStampede.com is the message board, so the Inside the Herd board will also venture into a new era.
“I look forward to continuing coverage of the Buffs, and continuing to share stories and insight into the program at On3 going forward,” Munsterteiger said. “On BuffStampede.com, we will reinvest into the product unlike any other in this market as long as I am at the helm. And I hope that is for a very, very long period of time going forward. On3 … let’s go!”
