At a glance: Louisville meets Bowling Green for first time

After a week off, the University of Louisville (2-0) begins its week of game prep for the last of its three-game home stand as it faces Bowling Green (2-1, 0-0 MAC) at noon this Saturday. The Cards have yet to face a power-conference opponent this season, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been tested. There was plenty to fix after the 28-14 win over James Madison in week two. Jeff Brohm’s offense struggled to move the ball for the majority of the contest, but Isaac Brown finally got loose for a game-sealing 78-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Louisville’s defense led the charge with one of six sacks ending in a defensive touchdown, and added an interception. Ron English’s group held the Dukes to just 137 passing yards. Our opposition in-depth series will release on Wednesday, previewing this week's matchup with the Falcons, but in the meantime, let’s take a glance at the Cards’ first-ever meeting with Bowling Green.
