No. 16 Louisville (6-1, 3-1 ACC) heads on the road for the third time in conference play this season at Virginia Tech (3-5, 2-2 ACC) this weekend.  Despite being in the ACC for over a decade, the Cardinals haven’t visited Lane Stadium in over 30 years and have only played the Hokies twice as ACC members (both at L&N Stadium).  Our in-depth preview will publish on Thursday, but in the meantime, let’s take a statistical view at the matchup and take a quick look at the Hokies and interim head coach Philip Montgomery.  Starting with Louisville, there are a couple of notes and updates from Jeff Brohm after his Monday media availability, including the status of running back Duke Watson and linebacker Stanquan Clark.
