The battle for the Governors Cup is here. While neither team is where they hoped to be, the stakes are still high. Louisville sits at 7-4, riding a three-game losing streak. Kentucky is hot, winning three out of its last four, but still has a losing record at 5-6. The Cardinals look to build off of last year's convincing 41-14 win over their rivals. With a Wildcats win, Mark Stoops' squad will earn a bowl game berth after missing out last year.  Depleted by injuries, Louisville is limping to the finish line. The Cards will be without multiple starting players. Question marks surround the quarterback position about who will line up under center. After giving up 38 points to SMU last week, the Cardinal defense needs to put that game behind them.  “It's a big game for all of us. I think our team will have a good week of practice. We’ll get our guys ready to go. Sometimes, when you face a loss, it's not very fun, but you learn from it quickly, pick up the pieces, and move on,” said Cards head coach Jeff Brohm.
