Louisville offers top-100 2026 guard Colben Landrew

Louisville and head coach Pat Kelsey offered Wheeler’s (Ala.) Colben Landrew a scholarship on Sunday afternoon.
On3 industry’s No. 70 player among rising seniors was offered a scholarship after a huge weekend on the AAU circuit, according to Trent Markwith.
It was a massive weekend in the college basketball recruiting world, as Louisville’s Pat Kelsey and staff were on the trail during July’s live period, looking at some of the high school scene’s best talent.
The staff split time between the Nike EYBL and Adidas 3SSB circuits, eyeing high-priority guards like Deron Rippey and Tay Kinney as well as the 2026 class’s No. 1 overall player, Tyran Stokes.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound guard has been climbing the rankings over the last year, and after an excellent weekend on the 3SSB circuit with Kelsey watching, he projects to rise further.
Landrew starred in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He dropped 24 points in Game Elite’s (GA) win over Indiana Elite on Saturday. And added seven rebounds and two assists to advance to the event’s Palmetto Road championship game on Sunday. His team rallied on Sunday to win the circuit title as Landrew scored 16 points, grabbed nine boards, and tallied two assists and two steals. His team went 14-0 at the event en route to the title.
He’s a steady offensive player with a big frame and is comfortable playing off the ball. With his high-major caliber athleticism as a wide receiver, he poses a physical threat to opponents. The Alabaster, Alabama, native is an opportunistic defender who embraces his impact on that end of the floor. As a shooter, there’s room for improvement off the dribble, but Landrew has a tremendous feel for the game on offense. His positioning is high-level, and he plays with a great deal of energy and passion.
Landrew needs to grow as a playmaker and facilitator as well, but is trending in the right direction in that regard, and already works well with primary ball handlers who can set him up.
Purdue, where Landrew visited last month, as well as NC State, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Alabama, are also in the mix for the top-100 prospect.
As it stands, Louisville’s 2026 recruiting class has yet to gain a commitment, but is trending upwards for multiple prospects. Landrew is the 22nd player in the class to be offered by the Cardinals.
July’s live recruitment period ended after four days on Sunday.
