Meet Louisville's running back room, the best and youngest in the ACC

University of Louisville’s running back room has gotten a lot of attention over the past few months and for good reason — Chris Barclay’s group is slated to be one of the youngest, but also best in the ACC. The three-headed monster of Isaac Brown, Duke Watson, and Keyjuan Brown came in as freshmen under the radar and with something to prove. The Cardinals 2024 recruiting class included both Watson and Isaac Brown, who were two of the highest rated players entering the program. The 6-foot, 200-pound Watson was the highest rated player in the class as the No. 358 player in the nation, with Brown not too far behind as the third-highest rated player at No. 546 nationally. Shockingly, the 5-foot-9 speedster was the 70th best player out of Florida — a ranking that didn’t hold value as Brown has picked up several preseason All-American nominations heading into his sophomore year. Keyjuan Brown might be the most intriguing, but also the least talked about of the three. Coming in as a three-star in the 2023 class, the three-star from Atlanta redshirted his true freshman year and saw a healthy amount of snaps as the third-string back. Let’s meet the group with mid-fall camp updates as they prepare for an electric 2025-26 campaign as one of the best running back rooms in all of college football, despite being the youngest.
