For the past two offseasons, Louisville’s starting quarterback has been decided in the winter with the transfer portal additions of Tyler Shough and Miller Moss.  And while the two will only be wearing the Red and Black for a season apiece, there’s no shortage of conversations revolving around the depth of the Cardinals quarterback room. To be frank, Shough’s 12 starts last season were an anomaly in his injury-ridden seven-year college career, and last year’s backup, Harrison Bailey, who showed promise making the start in the Sun Bowl win over Washington, is no longer on the roster after transferring to Florida. Bailey completed 16 of 25 passes in the bowl game, throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns.  So, with USC transfer Miller Moss coming in and being named the starter since last December, there’s been a quiet second-string battle between redshirt junior quarterback Brady Allen and redshirt freshman gunslinger Deuce Adams.
