Q&A with Khani Rooths — Louisville basketball Media Day 2025
University of Louisville wing Khani Rooths is just one of three returning contributors from last season’s roster.
The 6-foot-10 sophomore is looking to take an offensive leap after appearing in all 35 games as a true freshman and averaging 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13.4 minutes a game. Rooths has excellent defensive instincts and intangibles, and is looking to be a massive difference-maker on that end of the floor this season. Finding consistency in his jumper will be key to his success off the bench this winter.

At media day, a press conference-style question-and-answer session with Kelsey was followed by a scrum media session, during which all 12 scholarship players were available for questions for 30 minutes. Those player interviews and one-on-ones will be released on an individual basis in the days leading up to the season.
