Q&A with Mikel Brown Jr: Louisville basketball Media Day 2025
University of Louisville guard Mikel Brown Jr. is slated to be one of the best true freshmen in the sport this winter as he looks to lead the Cardinals through March in Pat Kelsey‘s second season.
The former five-star started all six games this summer as the USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team won gold. Brown averaged 10. 3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in that span.
Brown’s growth will be paramount for the Cards’ success this season, and that was evident on October 15th at Louisville basketball Media Day.

At media day, A press conference-style question and answer with Kelsey was followed by a scrum media session where all 12 scholarship players were available for questions for 30 minutes. Those player interviews and one-on-ones will be released on an individual basis in the days leading up to the season.
