University of Louisville guard Isaac McKneely is another proven and important piece of the 2025-26 roster.

The sharpshooter averaged 14.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists last season at Virginia while shooting 42.1 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the foul line. McKneely will be Louisville’s best shooter and is experienced at one of the highest levels of college basketball.

The Cardinals will rely on McKneely’s smooth, fundamentally sound game offensively, as well as his jumper. At 6-foot-4, he’s also more versatile than most wing/shooter role-type players. McKneely can put it on the floor and make plays for himself and his teammates.

Here is McKneely’s question and answer (Q&A) from Louisville’s Media Day on October 15, 2025.

At media day, A press conference-style question and answer with Kelsey was followed by a scrum media session where all 12 scholarship players were available for questions for 30 minutes. Those player interviews and one-on-ones will be released on an individual basis in the days leading up to the season.
