VIDEO: Louisville's Jeff Brohm, Brian Brohm, players weekly press conference
University of Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm met with the media on Monday to preview the rivalry matchup against Kentucky and update the status of key injuries.
The Cardinals are coming off a brutal 38-6 loss at SMU, the third straight defeat for Louisville, and the first game without scoring a touchdown this season.
Brohm revealed that star wide receiver Chris Bell will miss this Saturday’s game against Kentucky. The senior has accumulated 72 receptions, 917 yards, and six touchdowns. There are several other Cardinals who are at risk of missing the Governors Cup, including running backs Keyjuan and Isaac Brown, as well as quarterback Miller Moss.
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brian Brohm also spoke about redshirt freshman Deuce Adams‘ first career start and what he hopes to see change in the Louisville passing offense.
Senior linebacker TJ Quinn and center Pete Nygra will play their last game at L&N Stadium this weekend. They talked about senior day, the team’s mindset, and more.
Louisville (7-4) opened as three and a half point favorites at home versus the Wildcats. The two will kick off at 12 PM EST on Saturday, with the game being aired on the ACC Network.
