Breaking down Kentucky's latest football offers

With the start of the season upon us Kentucky’s football coaches have been diligently preparing for Week 1 against Toledo, but they have also found some time to continue the endless work of recruiting.
Here’s a breakdown of the Wildcats’ latest offers with everything you need to know up front about new targets.
Class of 2028 cornerback Brenden Davis is a 6-foot emerging track and football star who landed an offer from Chris Collins this week. Davis had announced offers from Georgia State, SMU, Missouri, and Texas A&M before the Kentucky offer came through. He had a late pick against Milton to help Buford win its opener.
Kentucky also extended a recent offer to Jevyn Severson, one of the top tight end prospects in the nation. The 6’5, 230-pound prospect from Madrid, Iowa is a three-star (86.95) prospect ranked the No. 3 tight end in America and the No. 1 player in his home state. That makes him the No. 81 prospect nationally regardless of position. Kentucky is one of Severson’s early offers as a Class of 2028 prospect. He has other offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Kansas State.
Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie two-way athlete Captain Rolle is a 6’3, 150-pound corner/receiver with a rangy frame but impressive athletic ability for someone so long. He made the all 7-on-7 team at Florida this summer. Rolle is a big name in Florida and he’s only a Class of 2029 prospect so expect to hear a lot about him in the years ahead. Purdue, Syracuse, Marshall, South Florida, and Miami are among the other schools that have offered.
Rolle’s teammate and classmate (2029) at Eau Gallie, X’Zavier Corbin, also landed an offer from Kentucky this week so both players in that secondary are on the Wildcats’ long-term wish list. The 6’1 corner has all the offers that Rolle has plus Maryland and Miami.
Miami (Fla.) Southridge tight end Trae Proctor is the lone 2027 prospect offered by Kentucky in the last week. The 6’5, 220-pounder was at Norland until recently. Some of his other offers are from Miami, Florida State, SMU, NC State, Auburn, Florida, Louisville, and Mississippi State. He had four catches for 69 yards in Southridge’s first game of the year earlier this month.
