Kentucky’s exhibition win against No. 1 Purdue prompted a wave of enthusiasm across the Big Blue Nation. Sure, an exhibition is an exhibition. It doesn’t count and there are plenty of questions. But when it’s all you have to go on it’s natural to overreact.

Kentucky was missing several players on Thursday night in a home loss to Georgetown but it was still about as ugly a performance as we’ve seen from Pope’s Cats. It was also maybe the first time a Pope team was youthful going into a contest.
