Kentucky has a chance to get a former commit back on board

More often than not when a player decommits from a school he ends up going somewhere else. Oftentimes there’s a direct flip instead of a decommitment. But that isn’t always how it plays out.
Offensive guard Tyreek Jemison committed to Kentucky this summer but reopened his recruitment earlier in the season with the Wildcats struggling on the field. Cats Illustrated reported this weekend that Kentucky still has a chance to get Jemison back on board and now we have details.
Jemison confirmed that he has remained in close and steady contact with UK offensive line coach Eric Wolford, his primary recruiter from the staff. He said that communication is always steady.
Wolford and Kentucky’s staff have always told Jemison that he is a priority interior line prospect for them and that was one reason he picked Kentucky initially.
This weekend Jemison told Cats Illustrated about his upcoming official visit plans.
He will take an unofficial visit to Georgia this weekend when the Bulldogs host Texas. Then Jemison will return to UGA the following week for his official visit with Kirby Smart’s program.
Georgia definitely looms large but Jemison was intrigued by Kentucky’s performance against Florida and also told Cats Illustrated that he is trying to schedule another trip to Lexington before the early signing period.
