The SEC officially revealed its new nine-game slate of opponents for each team in the league on Tuesday.

Kentucky, as reported by On3 earlier this week, will face Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee on an annual basis from 2026 through 2029.

Due to the scheduling “reset,” the slate will feature some oddities. Florida will return to Lexington for a second straight year, and UK is going back to Columbia, S.C., again next season. The Cats will play on Saturday at South Carolina.

The other six games will rotate to give each team in the league a chance to play each other every two years. The teams Kentucky will face in 2026 will be played again in 2028, and the teams it will face in 2027 will be played again in 2029.

In 2026, the Wildcats’ first group of six rotating opponents will be Alabama (home), LSU (home), Vanderbilt (home), Missouri (away), Texas A&M (away), and Oklahoma (away). It will mark Kentucky’s first trip to Norman, Okla., to face the Sooners.

Dates for the games will be announced at a later time.

In 2027, UK will face the other six league opponents that are not annual rivals. Those games will be Auburn (home), Georiga (home), Mississippi State (home), Arkansas (away), Ole Miss (away), Texas (away).

It will mark the second straight time the Cats will face the Longhorns in Austin.

In 2028, UK will face Missouri (home), Texas A&M (home), Oklahoma (home), Alabama (away), LSU (away), and Vanderbilt (away). Two of those teams — the Sooners and Aggies — will come to Lexington for the first time. In the case of A&M, it will mark its first trip to Kroger Field since joining the league in 2012.

Finally, in 2029, the Cats will play Arkansas (home), Ole Miss (home), Texas (home), Auburn (away), Georgia (away), and Mississippi State (away).

In addition to the league opponents, SEC teams are required to schedule at least one additional high-quality non-conference foe from the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten, Big 12, or Notre Dame each season.  Kentucky is expected to continue playing Louisville in the Governor’s Cup game to fulfill that obligation.

The SEC plans to re-evaluate the scheduling process in 2030.
