Scouting Report: OL Tyreek Jemison

Dallas (Ga.) Paulding County offensive guard Tyreek Jemison is one of the reasons Kentucky’s coaches seem upbeat about the program’s 2026 recruiting efforts even after a very slow start to the class.
The three-star lineman picked Kentucky over the likes of North Carolina, Ole Miss, NC State, and Georgia Tech, and he has given no indication of wavering since he announced for the Cats early in the summer.
This weekend Jemison and his coaching staff put out his midseason highlight reel.
So what did we learn from the tape? That’s the topic of today’s scouting report as we peel back some layers and try to learn about the lineman who will start developing under Eric Wolford next year.
Jemison is a massive presence on the field and when he engages a blocker and can lean on him he can really do some damage. There will be a strength and conditioning transition to the SEC but when you watch him playing right tackle on tape remember that he probably projects as a guard for the Wildcats.
He will need to become a little lighter on his feet to get to all the second level blocks that you’ve seen Jalen Farmer at through three games but as a wide body space eater with some power he looks just like the kind of guard Kentucky wants for its downhill run game.
No question about it, the best part of Jemison’s game is engaging smaller defensive linemen and driving them backwards. That skill set should translate to the next level but it will be at a different position and the goal for the first year or two will be converting as much weight to good weight as possible so he’s light enough on his feet for pass protection and second level blocks. But in terms of raw power and size in the run game it’s easy to see why Jemison was a coveted power conference line prospect.
