Middletown, Ohio defensive lineman Jaiden Davis was one of the 2027 prospects with power conference offers who visited Kentucky on Saturday night. He was in town to see the Cats take on Texas and made that trip because UK is one of the major programs that has offered, along with Iowa.

The 6’4, 252-pound versatile lineman is a three-star prospect with an Industry Rating of 84.00. Rivals ranks him the No. 57 defensive lineman in the 2027 class and the No. 15 player in Ohio. In addition to Kentucky and Iowa he has offers from Bowling Green, Toledo, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Howard, and Western Michigan.

“The visit went great,” Davis told Cats Illustrated. “The crowd was amazing and supportive. The atmosphere was fun and exciting. The defense played lights out (Saturday) night. It was great to see the Wildcats be able to perform under pressure against a team like Texas. At one point the whole recruiting section was standing up in awe in the end zone. It was definitely an amazing experience. And BBN fans, they’re quite like no other college fan base. They love their Wildcats and you could feel it radiating through the entire stadium the whole game.”

Davis took an unofficial visit to Iowa earlier in the season. After that trip he told Rivals, “I would like to find a school where their program feels more like family to me. Relationships and loyalty are very important to me,” Davis said. “I am looking for a program that will push me and develop me. And has the tools to get me to my dream: the NFL. A school that values their players and performs like a well-oiled machine, knowing and understanding it takes teamwork to accomplish goals.”

Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Indiana, Louisville, and Pitt are some of the other schools that are showing interest but have not offered yet.

Kentucky doesn’t have any commitments from Class of 2027 prospects but following the commitment of 2026 EDGE defender Justyn Hartley that class is the main priority.
