On the same day Mark Pope’s staff offered 2027 point guard Nasir Anderson the Wildcats also extended a new offer to Beckham Black, another backcourt standout from that class.

The 6’3 point guard from Duncanville, Tex., has a four-star Rivals industry rating (96.06) and checks in as the No. 16 player and No. 4 shooting guard in the 2027 class.

SMU, TCU, Texas, Cincinnati, Georgetown, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, and USC are among the other schools that have offered.

He’s the younger brother of 2023 NBA Draft pick Anthony Black and when he announced the Kentucky offer on social media said it followed a conversation with Pope.

Black attends Southeastern Prep in Florida and will be on a team that features a number of other 2027 prospects on Kentucky’s recruiting radar, including Obinna Ekezie Jr.

On3’s Jamie Shaw wrote earlier this year that Black set up teammates well and “plays a confident floor game” with USA Basketball. Black went on to have a great summer for AB Elite as the top assist man on the EYBL circuit.
