Colorado head coach Deion Sanders hinted at coaching staff changes following the team’s loss to Kansas State to end the season. The Buffaloes finished 3-9 this year, Year 3 of the Sanders era and the first campaign without Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.

Deion Sanders previously stripped OC Pat Shurmur of playcalling duties earlier this season, so safe to say, more changes are to come. Coach Prime didn’t mince words following the 24-14 loss to the Wildcats.

“Changes,” Sanders said of his process of evaluation. “Already evaluating the program. Changes.”

When asked if he anticipates those coming quickly, he said: “Yeah. Yes sir … There’s no rut. You’re just not good. You’re not good. It’s not (a) rut, you’re not good.”

As far as what else has to change, Sanders did not sugarcoat anything. A three-win season will do that.

“Mentality,” Sanders said. “Personnel, coaching, everything. That’s what that looks like. This mentality, a certain mentality you got to have when that game is right there, and you could take it either way. When you take it this way all the time, that’s a problem on both sides. It’s not just a personal problem. There’s a personnel problem.”

Sanders was once again asked about the staff changes to which he said it’s going to be different in 2026. He didn’t exclude himself either.

“I see everything being different, even me,” Sanders said before emphatically repeating himself. “I see everything being different, even me.”

But he provided Colorado fans with a glimpse of what they can expect going forward. That’s someone who is fully dedicated to turning things around.

“You don’t have to go easy on me, I’m a big boy. I’ve been doing this for a long time,” Deion Sanders said. “And when I win I don’t mind a clap and when I lose I don’t mind a boo. I played this game. I know this game like the back of my hand. And I love this game and I love all the sups and downs, the ins and outs about it. I’m built for every last bit of it.

“But if anybody’s built to reconcile and to get this back on course it’s me. And I will do it if it’s the last thing I do on our Earth. Trust me when I tell you. This was the Last Supper.”
