Iowa State’s Aiden Flora was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week, and the Cyclone offensive line earned the league’s Offensive Line of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday.

It marks Flora’s second Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week award this season—his first came in Week 0—and the Cyclones’ eighth conference player of the week honor in 2025. It is Iowa State’s first offensive line recognition of the season, while the defensive line has been honored twice.

With Iowa State trailing TCU 17-12 late in the fourth quarter, Flora returned a punt 79 yards for the game-winning touchdown in the Cyclones’ 20-17 road win Saturday. It was the program’s first punt return touchdown since 2017 and its longest since 2015. The return is also the longest in the Big 12 this season and ranks among the top 10 nationally.

Flora, who averages 41.4 yards per punt return—best among players with at least five attempts this season—also had a 23-yard kickoff return and played on four special teams units: kickoff, kick return, punt, and punt return. His touchdown capped an 11-point fourth-quarter comeback, tied for the sixth-largest in school history since 1960.

The Iowa State offensive line helped pave the way for Carson Hansen’s 108-yard rushing performance against TCU, marking the Cyclones’ fourth straight game with a 100-yard rusher.

The unit allowed just one sack, which came on an intentional grounding penalty, and has helped Iowa State average 182.8 rushing yards per game and 5.1 yards per carry over the last four contests.
