Iowa State adds big man Jackson Kiss to 2026 recruiting class

Cyclone head coach TJ Otzelberger now has a post presence to add to a high school senior class of backcourt players, as Utah Prep standout Jackson Kiss announced his commitment on Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-8, 230-pound center is considered a three-star prospect in the latest Rivals Industry Rankings. He’s considered the #131 overall recruit nationally, the 17th-ranked center and #6 prospect in Utah’s 2026 class.
In addition to Iowa State, Kiss also had Power-5 offers from Northwestern and Wake Forest, to go along with several others in the mid-major ranks.
Competing for Vegas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, Kiss averaged 14.6 points and 6.6 rebounds, two assists and 1.6 blocks per game. He was a 65.3-percent shooter from the field.
Kiss saved one of his best efforts for his final game of the summer, scoring 27 points and adding six rebounds and three blocks in a game against Team Melo.
The Utah native becomes the Cyclones’ third known commitment in the 2026 class, joining combo guards Christian Wiggins and Yusef Gray.
