The Cyclones had an opening in their class and identified and moved quickly on a high school senior in St. Louis (Mo.) to fill that void, landing Cardinal Ritter’s Jocques Felix on Sunday morning.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Felix is in the midst of a breakout senior season and had also recently landed Power-4 offers from Kansas State, Michigan State and Cincinnati. Several other G6 programs also offered prior to Sunday’s decision.

“I know that their coaches are staying current because as the process is going on, their interest is increasing,” said Felix. “They keep checking on me, seeing how I’m doing. I think they really want me in the program and to develop me.”

Through seven games this season, Felix has recorded 37 tackles and five sacks.

He said ISU defensive line coach Eli Rasheed and others on the staff have been evaluating him from the start of his senior year.

“They were watching my film and were telling me how much they love my film,” Felix said. “I created my Hudl tape in week four and they’ve been watching. I think I’ve really improved in my get-off and ability to make plays. I’ve spent more time in the weight room and was doing more agility and ladder work, working on my feet and stuff like that.”

The Cardinal Ritter standout becomes Iowa State’s 19th-known commitment in the 2026 class and third at the defensive line position, joining Illinois high schooler Daniel Howard and Minnesota prep Ajibola Afuye.
